EXPLORING CREATIVITY
for Children & Adults
ARTIST KAREN FRIEDLAND, is offering classes for adults and children in her home studio in Prospect Park South. They will be small groups--as few as 4 students, no more than 8--affording personalized instruction. The focus in the classes is for students to experience the JOY OF CREATING, while adding to their art skill toolbox. Classes will begin in February.
FOR CHILDREN
"Art Discovery" For four, five and six year old students, this class provides exposure to a variety of art media with an emphasis on the art process. Thursdays 4:00-5:00PM
"The Art Experience"For second to fifth graders, a fun way for students to gain art skills while exploring their boundless creativity. Wednesdays 4:00-5:15PM
FOR ADULTS
"Expressive Drawing" A creative approach to drawing. Organically learn drawing skills while expressing your true creativity. Wednesdays 10:00-11:45AM
"Painting Workshop" Exploring painting technique with a creative approach. Skills development while giving voice to your creative self. Thursdays 7:30-9:15PM

Karen Friedland is a widely known artist who has exhibited extensively throughout the United States. While best known for her paintings and pastels, Karen also works in sculpture, ceramics and print making. A very experienced teacher, she has taught all ages from pre-school to seniors, including special needs students. As a Teaching Artist, she has conducted residencies in schools and community settings for Brooklyn Arts Council and other arts organizations.
